EVERLAST BOXING LEGEND: JACK DEMPSEY
Since 1910, the name Everlast has become a significant part of the deep-rooted boxing culture.
From a small sports equipment retail store in the Bronx, Jacob Golomb created Everlast. In 1917 Jack Dempsey, a young fighter asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training.
Golomb began specially designing training gear and gloves for Dempsey who went on to win the World’s Heavyweight Championship in 1919.
