Willie Monroe Jr

Boxing was instilled in Willie’s DNA before he was even born. His grandfather, his grandfather’s brother and his father were all boxers. He was taught from a young age how to fight and can recall only wanting to make his grandfather proud. Monroe amassed 154 amateur fights before making his professional debut in 2008. He earned his nickname ‘El Mongoose’ from techniques used in the ring; hit and not get hit. His slick, southpaw stance and natural abilities allow him to move quickly out of the way when targeted.
