Pro fighter since 2011, Brooks originally excelled in playing American football at school and college. In the first two years of his career, Brooks amassed an undefeated record of 7-0 and he soon signed for Bellator Fighting Championships in 2013 following an international debut in Japan. After claiming the Lightweight Champion title, Will then signed with UFC. Known in the ring as ‘Ill Will’, Brooks earned his nickname from an old teammate based on his athletic ability and skills. Will trains 2-3 times daily, incorporating different sets of drills including wrestling, grappling, boxing, conditioning, sparring and MMA striking.
